A man from Paradise is once again facing charges as the Explosives Disposal Unit was brought in following a search of a Paradise Road property this week.
RNC searched the property on Wednesday and charged 49-year-old Craig Lynch with break and enter and possession of stolen property. The search stemmed from an investigation into a break-in on Carlisle Drive on September 12.
Investigators uncovered an ATV that was reported stolen on December 9, as well as an industrial mower stolen in 2022.
But most surprising was the discovery of more than 114 explosives and detonators, all of which were safely detonated by the RNC’s Explosives Disposal Unit yesterday afternoon.
Lynch, who is no stranger to the courts, has been charged with break and enter, theft of a vehicle, breach of a court order and a break-in in Portugal Cove-St. Philips a month ago. More charges are anticipated.
