Canada Post says it’ll be working through the weekend to get holiday deliveries out before the 25th.

The Crown corporation started delivering mail earlier this week, after a significant backlog caused by a strike that lasted over a month. The service will start accepting new international mail on Dec. 23.

They expect delays in rural areas into 2025.

They say most parcels that were held up over the course of the strike will be delivered before Christmas.
