An intensive search effort is underway for a 51-year-old woman who was last seen one week ago.

Elizabeth Jararuse was reported missing on January 4th. Initially it was believed she was last seen on Christmas Eve, but police have since determined that she was seen on Monday, December 30th in Nain.

Nain Ground Search and Rescue have conducted searches of various parts of the community using drones, but no signs of the woman have been found. Volunteers are continuing to search the community and aerial searches are expected to take place once weather conditions allow.

Jararuse was last seen wearing a black toque, black cardigan, grey t-shirt , black pants and black boots.
