The Town of Placentia has finalized its municipal budget for 2025 with the introduction of a one per cent monthly interest rate on all overdue accounts.
New fees have also been introduced for mining, marshalling yards and taxi permits, and a Tourism Accommodation Tax has also been established.
The town’s infrastructure priorities include the replacement of the chlorinator in Southeast Placentia and upgrades to Clarke’s Pond, repairs to the Orcan Drive Wave Wall, waterline detection and repair and a water pressure upgrade at New Settlement Hill.
