Police are investigating after a driver struck a pole in downtown St. John’s last night.
Officers patrolling the area witnessed the woman smash her vehicle into a parking post outside a hotel just after 1 a.m.
The 33-year-old, who was believed to be under the influence, was issued the breathalyzer and released with the matter remaining under investigation.
Her vehicle was seized and her license was suspended for a week.
