The RCMP says aerial searches are underway for a woman who has been missing from Nain for over two weeks.
Fifty-one-year-old Elizabeth Jararuse was last seen on December 30th, and was reported missing on January 4th.
Nain Ground Search and Rescue, along with people locally have been extensively searching Nain and the surrounding area since she was reported missing, however weather conditions prevented a look from the air.
Two aircraft were placed on standby, and on Sunday they got up in the air to conduct a grid search, but it turned up no sign of Jararuse.
Further air searches are continuing. RCMP Police Dog Services have also been transported into the area to join the ground search.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP at 709-922-2862 or Crime Stoppers.
