A 38-year-old man is facing multiple charges after two separate assaults at homes in Mount Pearl yesterday morning.

RNC were called to a disturbance a home around 6:30 a.m. after a man forced his way inside the home, assaulted a resident, and caused damage.

At the same time police were putting the handcuffs on him, another group of officers at another home in Mount Pearl were dealing with an assault complaint, which was traced back to the same suspect.

He faces several charges related to both incidents including assault with a weapon, break and enter, and property damage.

The man and the victims were known to one another.
