A 32-year-old woman has been arrested and charged following what police are calling a serious assault at a home in Natuashish earlier this week.

RCMP were called to a home in the community shortly before midnight Monday night. They found a woman with serious injuries resulting from a physical attack.

The woman was airlifted to hospital for urgent medical attention and is reported to be recovering.

RCMP say Antonia Jacobish was arrested on Tuesday and charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.
