All 20 crew members have been rescued from a cargo ship that ran aground on the west coast of the province.
The vessel first went adrift early Saturday Morning after losing engine power before daybreak.
In a statement, Premier Andrew Furey thanked first responders who worked through a blustery morning to save the crew members.
Thanks to the first responders who always take quick action, regardless of the time or the weather, all 20 crew members are safe.

A ship is grounded in the Bay of Islands, and the Coast Guard is en route.
People in the area say the MSC Baltic III is a container ship sailing under the flag of Liberia. It apparently lost power and ran aground near Lark Harbour. It’s about 207 meters long and 30 meters wide.
Multiple agencies including the Coast Guard and Search and Rescue aircraft are responding. The crew is still aboard the ship.
Meteorologist Erika Ranger at the Gander Weather Office says winds are high in the area and will remain so for much of the weekend.
“Winds in the Corner Brook area are 60-80 but gusting to 100 along parts of the coast,” says Ranger. “The winds drop back to 40-60 tonight and the snow will ease.”
Area MP Gudie Hutchings took to Facebook writing “our thoughts and prayers go out to the crew of the MSC Baltic III, SAR personnel and all responders.”
