A 17-year-old who pushed an RNC officer on a Metrobus yesterday had his escape foiled by an icy sidewalk.
Police were called to a Metrobus in the capital city around 3:00 p.m. to respond to a separate matter.
The teen, who was not involved in the initial incident, tried to intervene by pushing the officer and made a run for it.
Police say when he jumped off the bus he lost his footing on the ice and snow and fell.
He was released to appear in court on charges of assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest and obstructing a police officer.
