Construction continues on a new sewage lift station in Paradise, with completion expected this summer.

Mayor Dan Bobbett says work to replace Lift Station 10 on St. Thomas’ Line began in January of 2023.

The old lift station has seen its share of issues in recent years, with problems encountered due to its age, and exacerbated by intense pressure from increased development and a growing population.

Completion of the work was originally scheduled for the beginning of this year, but Bobbett says a number of factors have pushed the timeline back. In the meantime, the town is offering assurances to residents that Lift Station 10 is currently stable, and they are continuing to monitor the situation closely.
