RCMP raided a home in Carbonear yesterday, seizing guns and other weapons and hauling in five people. Three were let go without charge but two were arrested: 42-year-old Curtis Power and 36-year-old Chad Butt.

Police executed a search warrant on the home, which is located on Southside Road, yesterday morning after daybreak.

Both men were arrested without incident, and face charges of assault and assault with a weapon. Butt remains in custody, but Power was released to appear later.

Additional charges are anticipated.
