The provincial government has earmarked $1 million to increase the discounts on certain alcoholic beverages for bars and licensed restaurants.

Tourism Minister Steve Crocker says it’s something Hospitality NL had been looking for for a long time.

“If you talk to restaurateurs around the province, they’ll say ‘this is a way for you to provide us with better margins to help our bottom lines’ and it’s something that we found a way to do.”
