2025 marks a significant milestone for the province’s only living memorial to the Newfoundlanders and Labradorians who fought in both world wars and subsequent conflicts around the world.
Memorial University is 100 years old and a series of events are planned throughout the year to commemorate the milestone.
A panel discussion and First World War exhibit is taking place today at the Bruneau Centre’s Innovation Hall exploring the meaning of remembrance.
The event, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m., is open to the public and registration is required. It is also being live-streamed on YouTube.
