Energy NL is offering its congratulations to Prime Minister Mark Carney a leader it says has “considerable economic experience” to help guide the country through challenging times.
CEO Charlene Johnson says Energy NL feels strongly that a vibrant and supported energy industry, including offshore oil and gas, hydro and hydrogen can move the country forward and navigate uncertain times.
Meanwhile, the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers is calling the election of a new federal government an “opportunity to rejuvenate” Canada’s economy and its approach to natural resource development.
CAPP says it was encouraged by the tone set by both leading parties on the importance of oil and natural gas to the country’s economy and national security.
