Bay St. George RCMP is investigating after several teenagers were sprayed with a harsh substance during a graduation celebration over the weekend.

Police were called to Black Bank Beach near Stephenville Crossing around 1:30 Sunday morning after a man, who was not part of the party, deployed a substance believed to be bear spray on a number of teenagers.

There were no serious injuries, though some teens received minor skin irritations.

No arrests have been made but the RCMP have identified a suspect.

They are looking to speak with anyone who attended the graduation party.
