Senior hockey is returning to Harbour Grace for the first time in two years.
The HGOE CeeBee Stars announced on Facebook yesterday they will be returning to the ice this year as a part of the East Coast Hockey League, joining the Clarenville Caribous, Southern Shore Breakers, CBS Blues, St. John’s Caps and the North East Eagles.
The team was last active during the 2016-2017 playing season, where they won the Herder Memorial Championship for the ninth time.
The team thanked the fans who shared in their frustrations and supported their efforts to return.
They say the final details are still being ironed out, but that they will be raising their 2017 Herder banner and kicking off their new season “in the next couple of weeks.”
