The Canadian Union of Postal Workers says a review commission report released last week on the labour dispute between the union and Canada Post is skewed toward the corporation’s bargaining position.
Michael McDonald says the review appears to have left out a lot of viewpoints on how proposed changes will affect a variety of communities across the country.
“He left a lot off the table” says McDonald, ‘there were a lot of submissions from the public, from municipalities, from first nations, and a lot of that was disregarded.” He says a lot of the numbers used in the report have been disputed and even refuted.
The deadline for strike action if an agreement can’t be reached is midnight Thursday (Friday morning).
