The latest group of graduates from the province’s correctional training program are ready to go out into the field.
The 28 graduating recruits celebrated the achievement with a ceremony yesterday at the PowerPlex in St. John’s.
It’s the biggest graduating class the program has seen in years.
Spirits were high among the graduates, young and old alike, including Sheldon Brace who jokes he’s twice the age of most of the graduates, “but you’re never too old to do what you want to do.”
He admits the training was intense at times, but he got through it.
“First off it was, but then it was more goal oriented…and it was ‘you know what? I got this.'”
