The Heart and Stroke Foundation has completed the implementation of a program aimed at installing Automated External Defibrillators in all of the province’s schools.
Up to 40,000 cardiac arrests occur in Canada each year, and quick access to an AED can mean the difference between life and death.

Senior Vice President of Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and PEI, Mary Ann Butt calls it a “huge” accomplishment. She says all schools in the province are now cardiac ready.
A celebration was held at Waterford Valley High School today.
