The Avalon Mall is known as a hub for shopping but over the next 14 days or so, it will also become an extended living room for sports fans.
A new viewing lounge has been set up in the Centre Court by the main escalators to stream the Canada Summer Games.
Stephanie Regular, who handles marketing for the mall, says the space is for everyone, especially those who couldn’t get tickets.
“Getting a ticket may not be in the budget and sitting right here is absolutely free. It’s accessible and is an inclusive space,” says Regular. We will be streaming the games right from the start to that very last event.”
