U.S. President Trump is putting a halt on five offshore wind projects off the east coast.
The President cited national security concerns but did not get specific.
The order puts a stop to things regarding offshore wind energy development for at least 90 days.
Industrial facilities such as the Port of Argentia have an interest in supplying heavy parts such as monopiles to offshore wind projects but it’s unclear if the 90-day halt will have an effect on its plans.
