The president of Memorial University is staying tight-lipped on her plans for its Harlow Campus, but says “conversations and contemplations” are ongoing.
Yesterday, Janet Morrison made several changes to her staff, nearly a fraction of what it needs to do to become fiscally responsible by the end of Q4.
When asked directly about the fate of the Harlow campus, she said the university is spending more than it’s taking in.
“Memorial continues to spend beyond its means and so those conversations and a contemplation of how we contract with care are ongoing,” she said.
Last month Harlow town council wrote a letter to the MUN Board of Regents in hopes the university would maintain its campus in the U.K..
