The capital city says snowclearing continues, one week after the storm that made for the snowiest February and snowiest month on record for St. John’s
In an update Sunday, officials say crews and contractors have been working around the clock, but the historic snowfall means the cleanup is taking longer than usual.
Contractors remain in Southlands, Kenmount Terrace, and Airport Heights, with work expected to continue for several more days before inspections are completed.
Elsewhere, crews are focused on widening streets, with blowback operations used in some lower-elevation areas where full removal isn’t required.
The weather-related parking ban remains in effect.
