The Newfoundland Growlers are gearing up for another lengthy road trip after grabbing two big wins against a familiar opponent over the weekend.
It was a Kelly Cup Finals rematch at the Mile One Centre as the Growlers faced-off against the Toledo Walleye on Friday and Saturday night.
The Growlers stayed hot on Saturday after a last-minute 4-3 win on Friday night, keeping the Walleye off the scoresheet and coming away with a 2-0 win. Newly signed, Mike Crocock made his ECHL debut with the Growlers. Zach O’Brien (above) scored on a breakaway and now has goals in four straight games.
The Growlers now head out on a seven-game road trip beginning Wednesday night in New York for a matchup against the Adirondack Thunder.
