“We’re not going anywhere.”
The station manager of MUN Campus Radio is vowing to keep CHMR going despite MUNSU’s decision to pull its operational funding.
Rhea Rollman calls MUNSU’s decision “lamentable” but says she’s determined to keep the station going, citing the support she’s received from students and the public.
“We have a broadcast licence, we have a studio, we have an incredible team of volunteers. Hearing them speak last night…it was so powerful. These broadcasters who I’ve seen grow from shy students to confident, outspoken journalists, and broadcasters.”
“We’re going to keep broadcasting” she vows.
“This is a huge cut to our budget, is what this is. It’s a massive budget cut. We’re going to struggle to deal with that, but it’s going to mean job losses, it’s going to mean some restructuring, but we’re determined to keep going.”
