A public servant was recognized in the House of Assembly this week.
Leo Cose, who started his career in 1972, retired as supervisor at the transportation depot in Renews this week at the age of 83.
Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Barry Petten paid tribute to Cose’s work ethic in the House of Assembly with Cose and his family looking on from the public gallery.
“Throughout his career, his passion for public service never wavered. He understood that the work done at the depot went far beyond equipment and schedules – it was about ensuring the safety of the motoring public.
Speaker, Leo was known for constantly monitoring weather forecasts and road conditions, day and night, especially during challenging storms and harsh winters. His decisions were always guided by care, experience, and an unwavering focus on keeping roads safe for everyone.”
