A man is facing a handful of charges after a traffic stop on Kenmount Road resulted in him crashing his vehicle into the woods.
Someone phoned RNC to report a possible impaired driver around 10:20 last night.
Police were able to track down the vehicle, which did pull over when the lights were flashed, however the driver hit the gas as officers were approaching.
The driver tried once again to get away when he was spotted in a nearby parking lot, only this time he hit the gas a little too hard and crashed into the woods.
The 43-year-old man was still trying to accelerate when officers approached him and he had to be physically removed from the vehicle.
He was released to appear in court at a later date on charges of impaired, flight from police, dangerous driving and resisting arrest.
