The annual cleanup of the Outer Ring Road is taking place this weekend.
The stretch of highway will be closed for most of the day on Sunday, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. to facilitate the large-scale cleanup.
Government says the closure is necessary to ensure the safety of all those working in the area, and traffic control will be in place to direct drivers.
Meanwhile, the province is reminding that there are fines in place for littering on highways, and for failing to ensure cargo is properly secured to a vehicle.
