A home in Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s was consumed by fire early this morning.
The call came in just before 3:00 a.m., and firefighters were able to contain the blaze.
The road in the area was closed while emergency responders attended to the scene, but has since reopened to traffic.
The home in question had been vacant for some time.
RNC say the cause of the fire is under investigation.
