The Glacier in Mount Pearl has a new name.

The ice arena will be known as the Capital Ford Glacier as part of a new ten-year sponsorship agreement with the Howard Group.

Under the terms of the agreement, the facility will feature a range of new branding and sponsorship elements including new LED signs, rinkboard advertising, a family-friendly “selfie zone,” new banners in the lobby and entrance, and Zamboni branding.

The changes will be rolled out in phases.

CEO of the Howard Group, Jon Howard says his family spent “countless hours together at the Glacier” having grown up in Mount Pearl, and they’re pleased to have an opportunity to give back to the community.
