Terra Bruce Productions has donated its property at 27 Mayor Avenue to the Majestic Theatre as a rehearsal space for performers.

Majestic Theatre Executive Director Krysta Rudofsky says the space will allow performers to practice, while shows and concerts will take place at the Majestic Theatre throughout the year.

That will extend available performance time in the main theatre.

“So in order for us to be financially sustainable and survive, we need to have as many events as we possibly can in this (Majestic) building. So therefore, all the events are booked for the days in which we bring in audiences, for the most part,” she told reporters.

“So we will have weeks of rehearsal time and preparation for the Young People’s Company. So if that was to happen here, that would tie up the building. So they will be rehearsing off-site and then bring their production here when we’re ready to load into the theatre.”
