The TCH has been shut down just outside Clarenville because of a serious motor vehicle collision.

Both lanes of the TCH near Hillview just south of the turn-off to Route 205, are closed and RCMP expect the road to remain impassable for quite some time. .

RCMP Clarenville are telling people to avoid the area if at all possible as there is no detour.
