Newfoundland MP Seamus O’Regan was sworn into cabinet in a new role as Minister of Natural Resources.
There are seven new faces in cabinet: Anita Anand, Mona Fortier, Steven Guilbeault, Marco E. L. Mendicino, Marc Miller, Deb Schulte, and Dan Vandal.
A touching moment came when former Fisheries Minister Dominic LeBlanc, who is battling cancer, removed his surgical mask, to accept the position of President of Privy Council.
Bill Morneau stays on as Finance Minister, Navdeep Bains as Innovation Science and Industry and Marc Garneau as Transport Minister.
Jonathan Wilkinson moves from Fisheries to Environment and Climate Change. Bernadette Jordan is the new minister of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard.
