One of the larger community festivals in the province is in full swing. The Kelligrews Soiree began with a beach party at Topsail Beach Friday night with many more events throughout Conception Bay South over the next week or so.
Mayor Darrin Bent told The Tim Powers Show on VOCM that it’s a time when people see others who they may not have run across in a years, or since the last Soiree.
“We have free swims, outdoor movie night, a family bike ride, a dog party, an antique car show, and on Thursday we have Clara Nolan’s BBQ for the seniors,” said Mayor Bent.
