A local woman, who is grieving the loss of a pregnancy, says she found solace through a company that is able to do something unique with a person’s ashes.
Parting Stones converts cremains into stones that can be given back to a family.

Grief counsellor Dr. Korie Leigh found the company after suffering the loss of a pregnancy.
She says the stones created provide her with an opportunity to be close to a loved one “that feels very natural.”
She calls cremation a “fantastic” option for families, but she believes it is also “quite impersonal.” She says the Parting Stones process can turn ashes into tangible stones.
