Self-managed home care workers in the province just saw a small bump in pay.

Wages for home care workers who work for themselves outside of agencies increased by $2.00 to $19.05 an hour as of Canada Day.

Self-managed home support workers had frequently expressed frustration that their wages weren’t keeping pace with increases offered to those working for an agency.

The increase was previously announced in the provincial budget.
