RCMP in Mary’s Harbour nabbed another driver for speeding in a construction zone.
The detachment is conducting proactive patrols on the Trans Labrador Highway in Lodge Bay to prevent speeding in an active construction zone.
A 72-year-old man was ticketed and his licence was suspended after police clocked his vehicle at speeds up to 61 km over the posted 30 km/h speed limit.
RCMP say traffic control remains in effect whenever signs are displayed, regardless of whether or not workers are at the scene or visible.
