A music icon in Newfoundland and Labrador needs help as he battles cancer.

Paul “Boomer” Stamp, a mainstay for more than 45 years in the province’s music scene, performing with The Wonderful Grand Band, Ron Hynes, The Irish Descendants and many more is facing significant financial challenges as treatments begin and will take him outside of the province.

Stamp was recently recognized by Music NL with its Unsung Hero Award for his decades of musical influence.
