A new and different type of hotel experience is now open in the east end of the capital city’s downtown, and the reviews have been positive.
First Light has converted its former medical hostel to overnight accommodations and immersive experiences.

Stacey Burke, who serves as Cultural Host says it’s more than just a place to lay your head, the Lunar Inn provides guests with experiences as well to help connect people with Indigenous culture.
The facility, which contains four guest rooms, has already started booking visitors.
“All great reviews” said Burke. “People love connecting with culture, people have different experiences with what they want to do. Some people love the smudging, some people love drumming, it’s all based on what they want to do.”
Proceeds from bookings are being directed toward First Light’s programs and services.
