Two Carbonear men have been taken into custody in connection with two separate incidents in the Trinity-Conception area.
Harbour Grace RCMP responded after someone tried to break into Buckies Bar in Tilton using a vehicle.
Significant damage was caused to the building, and an extensively-damaged vehicle was found at the scene.
Police Service Dog Kaos was brought in, and tracked down 53-year-old Kevin Slade of Carbonear, who was hiding in a wooded area.
He was taken into custody on a charge of break and enter.
Meanwhile, police determined the identity of Slade’s co-accused—30-year-old Robert Crawford of Carbonear. He was arrested and charged in connection with the Tilton case and addition charges were laid in relation to a break-in at Powell’s Supermarket in October.
Both men were held pending court appearances.
