RCMP are investigating a recent incident involving a daring and unusual detour taken at a construction site on the province’s west coast that was caught on camera.

A department of transportation dash cam caught a pickup that veered off the highway and sped along, bouncing dangerously in the ditch before rejoining the highway near Whites Road on Saturday, August 22nd.

The truck and driver were identified thanks to help from the public.

The matter remains under active investigation say RCMP.
