Premier Tony Wakeham met today with members of industries affected by the trade war with the United States.
Wakeham was also joined in the meetings by Finance Minister Craig Pardy and Jobs Minister Lin Paddock.
Industry leaders shared their concerns about potential impacts, and discussed how the federal government’s response must be “ambitious, targeted, and responsive” to the situation, and work for all regions of the country – including ones that are export-oriented, like this province.
Wakeham reiterated government’s “unwavering” commitment to collaboration with affected parties, and how protecting provincial interests has been prioritized.
