Four people were arrested on drug-related offences this week in an area of the city that’s become a nexus point for illegal activity.
The RNC says based on a high number of complaints stemming from activity in Father Walsh’s Park, officers are continuing to keep an active presence in the area through a combination of patrols and covert operations.
Members of the Weapons and Drug Enforcement Unit arrested three men (ages 35, 36 and 39) and a 29-year-old woman on Wednesday for drug trafficking in the park.
The group was also found in possession of a small quantity of prescription pills, drug paraphernalia and $300 in cash.
The four were released with charges pending following the results of drug testing.
Meanwhile, a 38-year-old woman was arrested in August for breaching a release order barring her from being in the area.
