A 55-year-old woman has been charged following a boisterous disturbance at a home in Old Shop, Trinity Bay Thursday evening.

Police were called about two drunken people yelling, screaming and causing damage.

Both had left the scene before police arrived but they found one of those suspected of being involved nearby.

RCMP say Catherine Annette Thorne was in violation of a court-imposed condition to stay away from alcohol in relation to previous incidents.

She was charged with failing to comply with a release order and resisting or obstructing police.
