Eight people will be named to the Order of Newfoundland and Labrador next month.
The distinction, the highest honour that the province can bestow, recognizes people who have demonstrated excellence and achievement in their chosen field to the benefit of the province.
This year’s recipients:
- Ann Bell – Public Service
- Garrett F. Browne – History Preservation
- Evangeline Mae Drudge – Health Care
- Kathleen L. Knowling – Cultural
- Randy Murphy – Volunteerism
- The Very Rev. Dr. A. Marion Pardy – Humanitarian Activities
- Ronald G. Penney – History Preservation
- Winston M.K. Perry – History Preservation
The investiture ceremony is taking place on October 8.
