A 24-year-old has been arrested and charged in connection with a stabbing on the Southside Road over the weekend.
RNC found the suspect at the home, while the 49-year-old victim had left the scene.
He was later found by paramedics on Water Street and taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The accused has been charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and violence against an intimate partner.
They were held for court.
