A blogger and outspoken critic of the Muskrat Falls project is expressing some doubt about rate mitigation following a meeting between the Premier and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in Ottawa this week.
Des Sullivan, also known as Uncle Gnarley, says the proof of the pudding is in the eating and he hasn’t seen anything yet to give him hope that a promised rate mitigation plan will be in place come January.
He says he’s seen a lot of ideas, but as he puts it; “show me the money.”
He hasn’t seen the reduction in bunker C fuel usage at Holyrood that was supposed to result in savings, nor has he seen the opportunity in the export market. He also questions whether the integration of Nalcor and NL Hydro will take place.
