A 41-year-old man has been arrested and charged following the theft of a generator from the Co-Op grocery store in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
RCMP say the man entered the store on Wednesday during business hours and walked out with the generator, got in a vehicle and left.
Police tracked the vehicle down based on witness descriptions, arrested the suspect and recovered the generator.
The man, who was the subject of an existing arrest warrant is now facing charges of theft, possession of stolen property, failing to comply with a court order and failing to appear in court.
