A man was taken to hospital on Bell Island after being struck by a car this week.

RCMP say an SUV struck the 35-year-old man who was walking in the area of Lower Lance Cove Road. The man was treated for minor injuries.

Upon investigation, it was determined the driver had not broken any law, and no charges are anticipated.

RCMP are encouraging pedestrians to wear reflective or light-coloured clothing to increase visibility at night.
